Reflection
"It must have a purpose, if not we will not do it"... a truth that applies to both plants and people.
This project began with a simple frustration - why wasn't my home garden thriving? The answer led me down a path of discovery about soil regeneration, community building, and the profound connections between growing food and growing relationships.
Through composting experiments, intergenerational interviews, and a playful Gen Z campaign called "Soil-ful Corridors," I learned that sustainable practices need personal purpose to take root. The project's heart lies in repurposing my baby's milk powder container as a planter - a symbol of continuity, hope, and honouring my mother's gardening legacy while nurturing my own.
From food waste to fresh produce, from memories to mascots (meet Mr. Pur-pose, the dancing purple chilli!), this project demonstrates how design can transform both soil and souls, one small container garden at my own time.
