Through study tours in Melbourne, including visits to Fitzroy, the Koorie Heritage Trust, and Melbourne Museum. The project evolved to incorporate three new constellation designs inspired by Aboriginal culture.

I employed sensory mapping techniques during unguided and guided tours of Fitzroy, using sound as a primary navigation tool. Documentation through photography and zine-making practices captured the authentic experience of place-discovery. The integration of Aboriginal symbols and cultural narratives demonstrates respectful acknowledgment of Indigenous knowledge systems.

This project represents a unique fusion of personal narrative, cultural respect, and speculative design. I wanted to show how contemporary design can honour Indigenous wisdom while imagining future possibilities, creating a meaningful dialogue between past knowledge and future innovation.
